Bethany Springs Retreat Center, Kentucky

Each morning I found myself drawn to this bench. Retreats can be hard for me, I am not as serene or anxious to be alone with my thoughts as I need to be. Yet I retreat because I need it and the experience seldom leaves me wanting.

The Heads in Knysna is one of my favorite spots. It is a good midway stopping point if traveling to Cape Town from Port Elizabeth. It has hiking trails, good hotels, and great local craft shops. I found some of my best beads in Knysna.

My friends and I were on our way to Gordon's Bay, South Africa, and came upon this magnificent sunset. I was in awe of the colors. A sunset in NC is a little bit of yellow and red and nothing more. Can creation be more beautiful than this?

I was with friends at a retreat cottage where we spent 5 days enjoying the sea and the time together. We spent our time resting and enjoying each other's company. The setting was beautiful.

I took this shot while on vacation at Gordon's Bay in South Africa. I love nature and find myself taking shots randomly and without constraint.
